Unfortunately MS Office Outlook 2000 is not supported by the Norton products. Only Outlook 2003-2010 (32-bit) versions are fully supported. We know some cases when Office Outlook XP (aka. 2002) can load the Norton toolbar, but Outlook 2000 never works :(. It is because MS changed how 3rd party developers should create add-ons, and Office 2000's add-on manager can not recognize the new add-ons.
However if you use the default ports for incoming and outgoing (SMTP and POP-3) emails, Norton will still protect you, as email port scanning is still active (plus all the file-, cloud- and reputatuion based protection layers). Only the toolbar will be missing in Outlook 2000.
