Thanks everyone for your input. This morning, I decided to completely uninstall the software and then reinstall it. This has fixed the problem for now.

Any plans to try an update to SP3

The automatic live and pulse updates have been working fine up until a few hours ago. I brought up the main screen and noticed that the Run Live Update said 2 hours ago, and then I manually started it, and the download updates file size was 93.38 MB. Sheesh, this was as if had just started from scratch, after initially loading the CD-ROM. Like all the previous updates were gone, vanished.

As I mentioned previously, I never had one problem with the Norton Antivrius 2010 CD-ROM software. Don't know what's going on, but I'm thinking about uninstalling the software for good and trying another major anti-virus brand.
