These menu items, radio buttons, textboxes and buttons in this sequence:
Settings / Firewall / Traffic Rules / Add / Block / Next / Connections to other computers / Next / Only the computers and sites listed below / Add / Individually / <Enter IP Address in the textbox> / OK / Next / TCP and UDP / All types of communication / Next / Next / <Enter your new rule name in the textbox> / Next / Finish

Many thanks for your response. I am probably missing something but when I go into settings I do not see firewall. If I click on Network I see Smart Firewall on the left hand side but if I click on this I do not then see Traffic Rules. I am using NIS 2012 - can you clarify please. Sorry if I am missing something obvious.

On the tab where you see Smart Firewall, you should first click Advanced settings - Configure. Then General rules - Configure. That will bring you to the screen where you can add rules (click Add, create a Block rule for both TCP and UDP for the IP address in question).
