After re-formatting my PC and re-installing Windows 7 Home Premium, I reinstalled Norton Internet Security 2010 from the cd, I get the blue screen of death. I still have about 130 days left on my subscription. I have the option to install Norton Security Suite thru my cable company. I installed that program and the same thing happens. The install in both cases completes. But when the PC reboots after the install it goes to blue screen of death, and I have to do a system restore. As I said before, this is a re-install of NIS 2010 with the same OS. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tomaaa:
After the format and reload of the operating system, did you update Windows and drivers prior to installing NIS? I am assuming a complete format and reload rather than a return to factory condition. Factory condition usually included a trial of some security software that can cause problems.
Restoring to an earlier time will not remove a corrupt installation, so attempting to reload a security program without cleaning it off will probably not go well. The two Norton programs are not compatible with each other.
You will need to run the removal tool, to clean the failed attempts off the machine, and then you can install 2011 from the link. Save the removal tool and the installer to the desktop, remove both Norton products via add/remove, if they are there, and then run the tool. Reboot and try a clean install. The 2010 key will activate the newer version.
