I bought three user license for Norton Internet Security.
I have stayed away from Norton Now for at least 10 years, due to the way it would slow a computer to a crawl.
Was reading an article about the lastest versions.
I decided to give it a roll.
Improvements yes. Still slighlty dogs down the two computers I have it installed on.
Dual Core 3 ghz, and I5 Quad core both running windows 7 64 bit.
The biggest problem I have is issues with IE and slight errors. Using the Back button is incredible slow. So much so you think the page has crashed. My girl is about to hang me. She is more than a little frustrated with the web browsing.
I have been patient, and I though there might be an update to correct this.
If things continue I will have to bail once again on norton, give up and the 80 or so bucks I shelled out and go somewhere else.
Anyone else having similar issue?
There are other erratic behaviours using browser, but the back button is a killer.

Welcome dracoss
Haver you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available?
What version is shown when you click on Support - About?
Try clicking on Support - Get Support to run Autofix to check your installation and fix what it finds.
Do you have another browser installed to see if this happens there as well?

Hi dracoss,
To add to what peterweb as said - which AV did you have installed prior to installing NIS? Did you uninsatll via Control Panel andrun it's removal tool orpermit NIS to remove it?
Do you still or have you had any other security programs installed which run in real-time? MalwarebytesAnti-Malware Pro, SUPERAntiSpyware Pro and SpyBot Search and Destroy with tea-timer enabled all run in real time and can cause conflicts/slow downs in Norton. The Free version of MBAM and SAS are ok to run as on demand scanners.
Let us know which propgrams and someone will help you clean those up.

I ran live update as you requested and it installed two updates.
Version is 20.2.0.19
Ran autofix, on her machine it said it fixed a file associated with internet browsing. Maybe this will do it.
God I hope so.
Also have chrome installed. She is not familar with it so it does not get used.
I tried loading several pages and backing up opn them. The test will be her....
