Just installed NIS 2014 (184.108.40.206) and seem to have the same problem with Browser protection as occurred 12 months ago. i.e. Turning "on" simply reverts to "off"and there is a permanent warning (red X) on the task bar. Using Firefox 26.0 and Explorer 11 makes no difference. OS in WIN 7 64 bit.
Am I missing something or has the issue not been sorted since last year.
Am I actually protected as implied in the posts from Nov 2012

Yes I clicked apply.
Firefox says wil not install the toolbar as it is incompatible. (Ver: 2014.6.0.27). I have tried Liveupdate repeatedly but I am not sure what I am looking for with regards to the Patch.
Liveupdate history says I downloaded "Norton Browser Toolbar Add-on" successfully (1.43Mb). Is this the patch & if so, how do I get Firefox to see it?
Also, the issue with the Browser Protection exists when using Internet Explorer but this shows the Norton Toolbar OK.

My Browser Toolbar add-on download was 2.54MB. From the title, it does sound like the conerned Patch- occurred on the 9th for me. The correct version of NTB is 2014.6.2.3. Did you by chance upgrade to FF 26 prior to downloading the update that you found?

I don't want to hijack this thread but I have one quick question - have you restarted since receiving the toolbar patch?
Back to regular programing.
W W W = Wild Wild West. Be careful out there!

Having said that, the Toolbar is still not correct. It is ver 2014.6.1.2 and Firefox says this is not compatible. As I do not use the toolbar, this is no big deal - at least the Browser protection is OK.

Hi, Mersyeman. The latest toolbar number for NIS 220.127.116.11 is 2014.6.2.3, in my Windows 7 machine.
If you run Live Updates until Norton tells you no more are found, and then start Firefox, the latest toolbar should appear.
If you did the upgrade via the Firefox about tab, you might try a full browser overinstall after Live Updating, as sometimes that's needed for full compatibility.
