Browsers taken over by Search Conduit

All of my browsers, Chrome and IE have been taken over by Search Conduit. I've reinstalled Chrome, but it makes no difference. Is this a threat? What should I do?

Hello,

It is not malware; I'd say it is more in the style of "potentially unwanted software", software that can be a nuisance even though they aren't malicious and that can be hard to get rid of.

You should be able to just chose another default search engine in your browser, though.

Search Conduit doesn't install itself - you actually have to accept it yourself. It is usually bundled with other software - one reason that you shouldn't just click "accept" without reading the text during installation of program.
