Re: Cant remove two items

UAC down

MSIVX down.

SKYNET to figure out

Now To see if SKYNET is there or Not can you do the More Detailed scan of GMER even just to see if any registry entries are there.

Re: Cant remove two items

Well had a big power outage last night during the GMER scan and when i started it up tghis morning Norton removed avenger, gmer, and rootrepeal as threats.  I need to redownload them.  On the plus side malware and notrotn were coming back clean and my browser is no longer acting crazy.

Re: Cant remove two items

Everything to do with your system is  of interest.  No one else has had three rootkit invsions, two of which appeared to disappear by themselves, and another return in its place.  Up til now, however, I haven't seen a power outage remove rookits. We will be waiting for the new GMER with considerable interest.

[ Edited ]

I power outage that remove infections,   Will have to tell the power company that one whay a laugh.    Power cuts when the PC is running can damage the PC, but not in terms of just the infection(s). that would be a way to remember when I have PC's to clean LOL

I have Norton, I have GMER, Rootrepeal and Avenger, they haven't been detected and removed.

Someone on this forum who actually had Zonealarm IS had that detect Avenger. It's an F.P in this case though.

Re: Cant remove two items

No the power outage affected me getting the scans posted in a timely manner.  Malware and norton no longer detect any infections.  When i run GMER it no longer advises me that i have a rootkit and need to run a scan.  On reboot after the power outage a screen came up that i had not seen before telling me that it was removing threats from my pc then it rebooted again.  The log i attached below is the latest from tonight.  All seems to be ok with the PC, but i know that can be decieving.  You guys have been a tremendous help with my problems so just let me know what you need since i seem to have a unique case.
