Oh I'm sure it is a Norton situation but what I meant was as a workaround.
I could toggle on the Spanish language site but then I was not logged in.

Hi portaltech
Though I applaud you being cautious I think you should be aware that Guru's are appointed by Symantec.
You will also find that my link is the standard download link used throughout the Norton Comminity.
Search for yourself.
Beyond that it is your choice whether to accept the help.
Since I am on my iPhone I cannot easily post the link but I'm are Delph would be happy to post the link from Symsntec explaining the various user levels like Guru.
Best wishes.
Allen
I thank you. It's just that the other poster Delph made it sound even worst with his (although probably not purposely) naive comment. I try my best to keep my computer as safe from malicious content as one can, so I hope you understand.
Hey, is it usual for Norton Internet Security to have these issues at the beginning of a new version? I ask because I have had NIS since 2009 and never seen these problems, although I never came to these forums before (hence my lack of trust with the link you provided).

You're right, but once logged in you don't have any button to toggle it to english or spanish.
The same way that Norton Identity Safe is able to press the login button with out us actually seeing it happen is what I suppose it's doing with the Spanish button.

Hi PortalTech,
I don't blame you for being cautious about a direct download link. In fact, we Gurus were the ones who helped to get the forum rules changed recently to prohibit links to any direct downloads from external sites, because of the risks involved. The link provided is the same one given by Tim Lopez, a Norton forum administrator in this post, and it is, in fact on the Norton.com site:

Oh and by the way in case anyone was wondering...Norton tech support said he was going to report it to his manager...AND I also reported the site through the "Report issue" option in Identity Safe. According to this forum the website different issues has been going on for awhile. It's just makes me scratch my head that NIS 2011 Identity Safe did not have these issue so why minor changes to the New 2012 Identity Safe would effect websites that was working fine before.
It might sound cliche to say this but something really compels me to say: Spanish accent~~~>" Lucy... You got some splanning to do!" (Rick Ricardo from I Love Lucy in case your to young to know that.)

Hello PortalTech, if you still want to reinstall NIS 2011 I can confirm that the link provided earlier is a Symantec site and will download NIS 2011. These are direct links to the the installer itself. You can download NIS 2011 here.

Thank you for confirming this for me. I have a question...if I back up my logins from 2012 it saves as a .dat file and Norton 2011 won't reconize it because 2011 backup their logins with .NPM extension .....so how to I do this?

PT
I'd check but it's Monday Night Football and the Bucs are .....
Look at the URL when you are logged into the Spanish language version and then look at the URL when you toggle over to the English and see if there is a difference ( I know there is with some sites) and then put the English URL into your Identity Safe log in and see if that fixes it ......
I don't use the Identity Safe myself so I don't know if you can do that ..... but I can see it being the cause.
