Besides, I can make a video making Comodo fail with every single link or piece of malware in the hard drive, I start by "it's updated as you can see, settings are at default, let's start...." , then I pause the video, disable the protection, let the malware go through, then I go "Oh..what's this in memory..." , I mean you can do it in hundreds of ways.
Something is fishy in this video and to be honest, this is the first time that I've seen Norton failed.
He used to make good reviews back in the day, but the last year or two every video is "Comodo is the best, every other product fails".
That's the whole purpose of his "reviews".

I shall not dignify that question with a reply ![]()
And if I did the moderators would all be looking for ways to tack my hide to the barn door so they could really abuse it ![]()

I wouldn't put something like this past Melih, the CEO of Comodo.. that guy is one crazy man. Just look at his rants on the Comodo forums

Someone on another forum pointed out that Languy99's folder of malware also contains a lot of non-malicious files (Languy99, himself, comments on all the text files present, saying that he did not bother to check the folder before beginning the test). Therefore the 74% Norton detection rate that he calculated is based on a file set that is not comprised only of malware, which of course will wrongly skew the detection rate downward. I hope everyone noticed that he somehow managed to "accidentally" (his word) zip the Norton installer file in there along with all the malware. Wonder how that happened under such rigorous testing protocols.
Obviously any test where a product is penalized for failing to flag its own installer as malware has some credibility problems. The file problems begin at the seven minute mark of the video.

Thanks Turbo,
I been following this topic and I was confused because I thought everyone knew that.
For entertainment purposes I really enjoy these videos, they are well done and you can tell he puts a lot of work into them.
But I would never confuse a video with some kind of real test. It's not even disclosed where the samples come from or who may have had previous access to them.
If you been following these videos you will see that the results never reflect tests done by real independant testing organizations.
But I like the "disappearing Norton" trick, it gets better every time I see it. The sheer coincedence of picking the right malware by "chance" and the suprised reaction gets better each time.
Speaking of videos I saw an awesome one the other day about Chrome Browser being faster than the speed of sound.
For entertainment purposes is was great, but I have trouble believing it is really that fast because it's really just a movie.

A question for all you Languy99-COMODO CONSPIRACY THEORISTS:
In view of your view that languy99 and the president of Comodo are in a conspiracy to present worked-up doctored, biased reviews damaging Norton's reputation - - How do you explain languy99's 100% positive review of Norton Internet Security 2011????

Well maybe Norton got 100% because Languy didn't want to make it obvious that he is against Norton or maybe he was sick of Norton passing the tests that he decided to find a malware that would destroy it. It seemed like he had mor enthusiasm when Norton failed than when it's doing well. Just a theory
