Hello all :-)!
But why in Languy's tests, Kaspersky gets out of it better with the same method? ![]()
Don't think i will get rid of NIS2012 in any way... just a question of confidence. I'm a faithful guy and trust Symantec..
, to improve its level of protection.

EDIT: Why former PrevX was impossible to kill? Cause it was protected through the Kernel protection?

In AV-Comparatives Kaspersky get 100% protection in self defense but NIS 2011 get only 97% so there is exploit that could kill Norton from running in background and from start up.
That 3% should be fixed :)

I looked on AV-Comparatives lastest reports and did not find this stat you are talking about in your post. Could you provide a link to that? Thanks.

Sorry Heco, meant to reply earlier. In this case he used the rescue disk for Kaspersky. He never tried the Norton Prower Easer or using the Norton Rescue Disk. So there is no way to know if that would have worked because he did not use those tools. I am not sure why he is using other thrid party tools in a Norton review. I am also sure that there is a virus that Kaspersky cannot detect that Norton can. I think people get too caught up in the "Well Norton missed one virus that this other guy detected" game, when the whole picture needs to be looked at.

Hi Heco,
It is not the same method. Languy is booting from the Kaspersky Rescue Disk and not the operating system, which prevents the rootkit from running and protecting itself..

The Main Question is , did a Rootkit delete Norton , if Yes Why ?
Why Norton Selfprotection failed . it has to do with the disabled Boot Time Protection ?
These are the questions which we should concentrate ! and not wich other Tools we should use to clean the Infections..

Given the fact that the CEO of comodo is not exactly a big fan of Symantec, I find it somewhat surprising that no one has mentioned the fact that the fellow that uploaded the video that is the subject of this thread is affiliated with comodo.
languy99 is a global moderator in the comodo forum and also has the designation comodo's hero:
Do you really believe that you are going to get an unbiased and objective reviiew of a Norton product from this guy?

I never trusted him. A fanboy first class". Like" Oh Comodo will find it for sure" etc etc etc.
