I have not been using Norton long.
When I search a subject in Google, some times, not all the time, when I click a result I get re-directed toa site like "Find it", or sometimes to a random financial website.
I have run full scans, downloaded the latest virus definitions but this still occurs

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum & Happy New Year
What operating system and service pack are you running? What Norton product and what is the version number of your product please?
Do the logs show anything as being prevented from entering your computer? The only program I would recommend to install now is the free version of Malwarebytes and run a full scan with that. You can post the results of that here using the add attachment link.
If it is necessary for you to go to one of the free malware removal sites listed, it is best not to run all these other programs unless requested by the malware removal site. Running these other scans may make the problem worse and will only be asked to run it again by the removal site if they want you to run it. They have the proper tools and experience to help you get it cleaned up. Bleeping Computer is going to produce the longest wait time. All the listed sites are good.
Please come back and let us know the answers to the questions I listed also and with the log from Malwarebytes. Thanks
Happy New Year !
