A little more info needed..which Norton product are you refering to? NIS2009,NAV2009,N360 or earlier products?

As mo was pointing out, on the 2009 series of products this is not a user adjustable setting.  2009 products = Norton Internet Security 2009, Norton Antivirus 2009 and the N360 products.
