Hello Norton community:

Need to know what is the default setting for all Norton products (including enterprise) for quarantione of files on USB sticks?

Is is auto-on for quarantine, prompt first, or no auto quarantine?

I am developing an application that will be stored on a USB flash drive.

Computers with certain Norton products installed are quarantining the files/  I do not have access to all Norton products so cannot test it in all environments.

Also, anyone know if a ready only filed in a locked partition will alleviate an auto-quarantine problem or ....do the files simply not open?

As a software developer, you should first consider submitting your software to Symantec for white-listing via the following link:

https://submit.symantec.com/whitelist/isv/

When Norton quarantines your application's files, what is the name of the detection(s)? You can find this in the Quarantine section of the Norton Security History.
