When I try to open 'account' or 'support/get support' or 'comments' in my NIS 2011, system says 'Unable to open your web browser' and 'Norton Internet Security could not iniciate your web browser...' (or something like that, my PC lenguaje is spanish). But my browser is open and just working on!
Cuando intento abrir ventanas como 'Cuenta' o 'Comentarios' en mi NIS 2011 recién adquirido, el sistema me dice '¡No se pudo iniciar el navegador! y 'Norton Internet Security no pudo iniciar su navegador web predeterminado. Verifique que haya un navegador web instalado. Sin embargo mi navegador Firefox está abierto y funcionando correctamente en ese mismo momento!

can you please tell us the exact version of your Norton product?
1. Open the main window
2. Click on Help & Support -> About menu
3. On the About window find the version number (it will look like this: 184.108.40.206)

Can you translate for us what the NIS error dialog window says word for word?
What is your default browser?
If you are using IE check the following. Click on Tools > Internet Options and then on the options window click on the "Program" tab.
What does it show on the top is the default browser? If it does not show IE as being the default browser, click on "Make Default" and Apply and OK.
See if this resolves the problem you are seeing.
If you are using something other than IE as your primary browser please let us know.

Problem solved, Allen. Your questions gave me the clue and inspired me. The problem was some days ago I installed Google Chrome. Then, I uninstalled it but I forgot to mark Firefox -my favorite- as my regular browser again, or even IE. So, NIS believe that my PC have no web browser installed. Now is working right.
