Does Norton Internet Security 2010 use sonar 3?

Does Norton internet security use sonar 3 or is it only 2011?. Also i have a years suscription of Norton Internet Security 2010 so when Norton Internet security 2011 comes out can i upgrade for free?

NIS 2010 doesn't use Sonar 3. You can upgrade to NIS2011 for free as long as you have a valid subscription to NIS 2006 or later.

the new SONAR version will not be available for NIS2010.

And yes, you can upgrade FREE, when NIS2011 is released via the norton update center (www.norton.com/nuc)

Indeed, but it's probably worth pointing out that the SONAR 3 blog post suggests that some of the new enhancements might be back-ported to SONAR 2.
