I just upgraded my other computer to NIS 2011 which is running Win7 32bit.
When the same programs are downloaded and executed, it does not display the Download insight at all.
Both computers do show a little pop up when the downloads are finished stating that they are safe.
I assume that because the 32bit machine had determined the file to be safe, it had no reason to display the download insight screen.
When I set the 32bit machine to Download Insight Full Report = Always, in then gives me the window with the buttons to choose run.
if I set the 64bit machine to always it still does not show the buttons.
Thanks.

What happens when you want to open it with Admin rights?

How are you downloading the files on the 64 bit machine? In IE or Firefox? Or via a downloader application?

both computers are on firefox.
i am an administrator and run as administrator has no effect.
i download the file and save to a directory, then double click to execute the file.
i then get the standard windows uac warning that i tell to run.
i then get the download insight window in question on the 64bit machine.
the 32bit machine goes ahead and executes the program without the download insight window.

Hello ebkruse,
Unfortunately, the logs are empty. It looks like you uploaded a text file with a upload log, and not the actual program logs. Could you check the instructions that were previously PM'd to you and try again? Once you have the logs uploaded, let me know and we'll take a look at them ![]()

Ok, you should have the log files you are looking for now.
The instructions did not say where the file would be and it was not where it would be according to the XP or Vista locations.
Plus the intructions said to turn off all advanced options in step 3. I had to leave the do not send option checked so it would not send and delete the log file.
Thanks,
ebkruse

HI ebkruse,
Thanks! I'll update the instructions. Every now and then they update SymNRA and change a few things on the UI which makes our instructions out-of-date.
Anyway, we have the file now and we'll take a look at it. ![]()

I'm also running Win 7 64 bit and have had exactly the same problem as here trying to install TMPGEnc Authoring works 4 update (which is trusted). I have only been able to install by using silent mode to disable the popup.
