Hi
I have NIS 2011 for 3 pcs. I only had a desk top before recently purchasing a laptop which has a NIS 60 day trial pre-loaded.
I followed the FAQ "How do I get my product on a new computer" / "Iwant to download my Norton product on ther computers"
Step 1 did not work as there is no 'Download' button showing.
Step 2 - tried downloading NIS 2011 but was was not asked for Product key nor was the Download manager installed on desktop.
Checked current subscription and still says 2 activations available and laptop still has 56 days left on trial.
Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong please?

Hi Peter,
can you please tell us the exact version of the preinstalled Norton product?
1. Open the main window
2. Click on Help & Support -> About menu
3. On the About window find the version number (it will look like this: 18.5.0.125)
Norton 2011 products have the version number of 18.x, if it is the same, you should just click on the activate / renew button, and there include your subscription key, what you have for the other PC(s).
Let us know the results.
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x64 Hungarian, Norton 360 v20.3.1.22, Norton Utilities 16

Hi
Thanks for replying.
The version number is 18.5.0.125
I am not sure where the activation/renew button that you refer to is though.
Nearly ended up paying another £39 when I pressed the subscribe button. The page that I was taken to requested the product key but only button on the page was subscribe.

Hi Peter,
When you click Renew at the bottom of the NIS window you should have a window pop up which looks like the following.
Just enter the product key in that box and then hit the play button to the right of the box shown.
Please let us know how it goes.
Best wishes.

Hi Allen
Thanks
However when I open the NIS window from the desk top icon, there is no renew button shown. Only a subscribe button.
When I click this I get a similar window to that which you have shown except the button says Subscribe and not Express renewal.
There is a box for entering the product key. I enter this and press play but nothing happens at all.

Hi Allen
Further to my previous reply:
I have opened the NIS window on my desk top which has NIS 2011. I can see the renew button and the Express renew window.
I assume that there must be some other way of downloading NIS 2011 to the laptop in view of my previous reply.
regards
Peter

Hello Peter
You can also just delete the trial version when it is almost up using the control panel method and reboot.
Before doing that, please download and save to your desktop, NIS 2011.
You can do this now and lose the remaining time on the trial or wait until it is almost over.
Please have the key handy and then you should be able to enter it like it is shown in Alan's post.
Please come back and let us know how you made out. Thanks.
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.
