Intermittently when I shut down my computer, I get this End Program window with this...ccSvcHst saying, This program is not responding..
Also I can't do a system restore. I have tried turning off the Tamper button in Misc. Settings, but it still wont complete a system restore.. I have NIS 2010 and am using WinXP..
Any help would be gr8ly appreciated..

Description: When you restart or shut down your computer, you see the message "ccSvchst.exe is not responding . . .". Sometimes, Windows closes the program, and you can restart or shut down the computer. At other times, you must click End Now in order to close ccSvchst.exe.
1. Run a tool to fix this problem.
2. Exit all programs, and then restart the computer.
3. After restarting, turn off the computer again to check if the problem persists.

Update: I was able to have a tech, remotely access my computer and he assures me the problem of the error mess. has been fixed. I will come back later to let you know if it was.

Ok, so far I haven't got the error message anymore..
However, I tried system restore and that still won't take.
Also I am not the only one having this problem with system restore and NIS 2010, a friend of mine has the same problem and turning off the Tamper Protection feature has no effect for either of us..

TY jr, no I haven't tried that yet, but as everything is now going good visa vie the ccSvcHst error, I only retried the system restore just to see if it would restore. But since it won't, I was trying to figure out why?
Also since there is no other reason right now for me to do a system restore other then to test it, I will wait until the day I truely need to restore, before I try in safe mode. I'm just thinking that if I do it in safe mode and it works, that really doesnt tell me anything that prevented it from restoring in the first place.. I am not a computer tech, so I hope this makes sense..
There must be something that is preventing me from restoring it the normal way and that is what I need to find out now..
Thank you for your help RJ..

Ok, after the tech helped with the ccsvchst error, a tech actually called me because I sent another email stating, I still couldn't restore. So he had me uninstall NIS2010 then do system restore, still did not work. So that was that.
But when I did that restore after the uninstall, it would only let me restore to a time before I uninstalled and reinstalled. So I waited a day, and tried the system restore, for the day I did the uninstall/reinstall and Success.
I was able to do a system restore. So I think maybe something was bad and after the uninstall/reinstall, it was cleared..
Not sure, but all is good now..Thanks to all who tried to help me out..
