Hi there I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I have. Everytime a go on my netbook now an error message from Norton keeps coming up. I have had a the netbook for a month now and every has been fine then one day this message come up "error 8506 ,422" so go on the support page and I have done all of the things that it has said. Such as restarting my netbook or removing Norton and then install it again. But the message keeps coming up and I also thing this Norton problem is cause my netbook to run slow. Please could you help me. Thank you

Hi pcboy22,

Do you have any other security programs installed on your netbook?  Perhaps a trial that came installed on your new netbook?  If so, that could be causing a conflict with Norton.

BTW which Norton product are running and what is the version number (Support > About)

Hi pcboy22,

Please perform the following steps.

Go to Device Manager.

Click on View --> Click on show hidden devices --> Click on Non Plug and Play Devices.

If there is any exclamation mark for Norton & Symantec Drivers, then uninstall it.

Restart the computer, and reinstall the Norton product.

I have followed the steps and there are no exclamation marks so unforturnatly the problem is occurs but thank you for the help.

The product is Norton internet security 2012 and the version is 19.2.0.10
