I installed 2011 from an email from Norton, ever since I get this annoying message -- I just
simply want it gone ... I have unclicked Norton Anti-Spam in the ribbion and on as well as
in the Norton Program .. still there. This started instantly after installing 2011.
Microsoft Outlook 2007 SP2 .... so how do i uninstall this mess and go back to
Norton 2010? or will norton send me a fix? I am not a techie so don't tell me all about
logs , beta installs, etc ... make it go away before I do

Do a back up of your identity safe logins.
You will need the removal tool here:
http://www.norton.com/nrt
Reinstall:
http://www.symantec.com/redirects/norton/norton_co
Run Liveupdate until it gets upto 17.8.0.5. Hopefully, it won't download NIS 2011 all over again.

Hello fogdog70,
Also, see this post for a possible workaround until a fix is released: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Sec

I disabled the whole of Norton Anti-span on Outlook 2007 / Norton 2011
using the Tools, Trust Center, Add-Ins and making Norton Anti-spam
inactive .. if the bug continues I will remove it entirely
Hope that Norton alerts us when they have the promised patch fix,
otherwise it may be a long time before i remember to turn it back on,
if ever.

As Tim posted, Symantec will be releasing a fix for this problem soon. You can try the workaround suggested. Meanwhile, please bookmark the following Knowledge Base article, which addresses this particular problem. This article will be updated when the fix is released.
