Re: Facebook Scan Symantec employee please respond

Hi Tywin7,

I understood what you meant to start with but I want clarification from Symantec. For sure the option under Scan Now in the NIS 2011 interface won't be there except for the English version. The rest I cannot comment on at this time.

Best wishes.

Allen

Re: Facebook Scan Symantec employee please respond

I also knew what you ment. Was just commenting on the last reply before yours. I was bumping up the thread for Symantec's attention. I've added the phrase Symantec employee please respond to the topic of my reply.

Re: Facebook Scan Symantec employee please respond

Just checked. App ran from mobile. Apparently not connected to the Norton program.

Re: Facebook Scan Symantec employee please respond

All,

Sorry for the confusion. Obviously a lot has changed since the Beta, so using that as a reference may not reflect the most up-to-date information.

The Facebook scanner link on the Scan Now page is only available on the English builds when using an English OS. You can use the Facebook scanner manually on any language as an unsupported workaround. However, it's currently only officially supported in English. This means that you may only see the posts in English, some sites may not be rated, or other unexpected issues do to language may occur.

The Facebook Scanner is not actually tied to the product, and can be used by anyone with a Facebook account.

Hope this eases any confusion.

Cheers,
