This is totally false alert. on Norton Internet Security 2011
I used opensource or binary version both have same issue that norton detect the qmake.exe file as a virus.
Their website http://qt.nokia.com/ :
I compiled the open source version by MSVC2008 on my own laptop and same issue.
it seems some signatures or concurrent bytes looks like a threat for SONAR on Norton 2011
The Qt SDK is a well known project. this happens on the new SDK and even opensource our own compiled version.
you can check by downloading QT SDK 1.1 or by getting latest version from qt.gitorious.org
Please let me know what is the situation. I already stopped my norton on my all servers due to the problem with compiling our project.

Hi satmosc,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We will look into the issue. In the meantime, you can restore that file and exclude it from future scans.
