False positive at IEEE website

[ Edited ]

Hello,

After doing a search I see that a number of people are having trouble receiving their confirmation email, including me.  I'm trying to verify the site ieeexplore.ieee.org is not infected with viruses.  It's a well established site and this issue is causing quite the commotion with our customers.

Please activate my account so that I can verify the website.  [Removed email address]

I agree it seems a little odd to treat the IEEE as virus infected but I suppose it could happen.

The malware is associated with the link [ IEEE Xplore ] up top right on their home page (which is not red flagged by Norton) although if you use that link you do get a redflagged search page.

There is a procedure for submitting to Symantec URLs that may be false positives but I've not used it so I'll let someone else pick up the ball on this.

You could also notify the webmaster at the IEEE about this link.
