Hi,
the Bug from NIS 2009 where the most Fullscreengames getting stuck in a black Screen if manually Firewallsettings are used is still appearing in NIS 2010.
Why is this only a Problem in NIS?
Kaspersky, ESET an GData are checking and asking for Permissions before the Fullscreens turns on.
At NIS Game switches at start to Fullscreen and then 1 sec. later the PopUp asks for Userinteraction.
The Screen is black in the most cases - the Tray appears but it is impossible to bringt the PopUp visible in front.

Can you explain this in detail? I'm a little confused when you say "if manually firewall settings are used".
<<At NIS Game switches at start to Fullscreen and then 1 sec. later the PopUp asks for Userinteraction.>>
What is the pop-up that you see here? Are you seeing the pop-up to turn on full screen detection?
Thanks for filling in.

1. Start a Game that works in Fullscreen with Internetaccess (Example: Fallout 3, H.A.W.X ....)
2. Then the Pop-Up is trying to appear in front of the Monitor but all you can see is your Tray - the PopUp is in the Background and it is impossible to tell him if you want to set the Firewallsettings for this Game to:
"Automatically Internetaccess
Allways allow Internetaccess to XYZ
Allways block Internetaccess for XYZ
........."
All you can do is to Reboot via the Resetbutton or Powerbutton. Even the Taskmanager and everything else is only appearing at Tray now and is not visible.
3. Only Solution since NIS 2009 is to set the Settings after Reboot at NIS before you start the Game.
Sorry i use the german GUI.

Thanks for the confirmation redlabour!
In the Smart Firewall "Advanced Settings" do you have Automatic Program control turned on or off?
You can also disable the "full screen detection" as a workaround.

1. Turned off of course - and i dont want to change it.
2. Does not help.
But in fact - the Full Screen Detection does not work as it should. It is unable to minimize most of the Games correctly. And it is not impossible to do so. As i told before - other Security Suites did this Job better.
