Full scan does not scan everything.

A couple days ago my computer became infected and Norton I thought did a good job at taking care of it. But I notice whenever I try to click on a hyperlink from a search engine I get redirected to some bogus site that differs everytime. I have tried to perform a full system scan which usually takes at least an hour and it is finished within a minute or two and has only scanned 6,000 files but shows a completed scan. I know my computer is still infected but am at a loss on how to repair it. I have since installed spyware doctor which seemed to get rid of some things but the issues mentioned above are still present.

What Norton product do you have and what version is the product?
Please download SysProt here http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~crutches/SysProt  and run it.

Choose the Log tab and select all the items in the Write to log box. Then select Create Log to start scanning. When it is done, a message window will appear with the location of the log file.

Please attach the log file to a post here; the Add Attachments links is below the orange Post button. Thanks

Re: Full scan does not scan everything.

You have a RootKit infection on your system.  I will notify some people who will come and help you remove it but it could be later tonight before they can get here.

Hi

You have "kbiwkm"

Stage 1,  File removal

Now the registry entries will be greyed out I think, will get them later.

Tick (check) these entries (little square box beside each entry) Only the entries below, not the others

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\kbiwkmknkctkaa.sys

C:\WINDOWS\system32\kbiwkmtnadshko.dll

C:\WINDOWS\system32\kbiwkmeiccwvcr.dll

C:\WINDOWS\system32\kbiwkmdufuewmr.dat

C:\WINDOWS\system32\kbiwkmmbylnbpl.dat

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\kbiwkmxbrfyjncnp.tmp

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\kbiwkmhnjhrjtcuo.tmp

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\kbiwkmcunpbijwmv.tmp

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\kbiwkmirtabpaofb.tmp

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\kbiwkmljubpxmkuw.tmp

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\aenxwscmro.tmp

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\aswnmorecx.tmp

Then click the Clean items button

Follow the prompts to remove them and restart your computer.

After reboot, a dialog box displays the files you selected for removal and the action taken.

Step 2 after
