Hi all i was just wondering what this entry in my NIS 2011 history means and if its anything to worry about
Rule " Default Block Microsoft Windows 2000 SMB" blocked (18.104.22.168, Port (445) ). Inbound TCP connection.
Local address, service is ( MY-PC (58.106.234.***), port (445) ).
Remote address, service is (22.214.171.124, Port (12933) ).
Process name is "System".
help would be much appreciated :)

Nothing to worry about, just normal firewall events. I have that too.

I have almost exactly the same message in my history. Does it affect your skype? Since I have been getting it skype stops working as soon as the page appears. it may be co-incidence or skype is being blocked. Like to hear

SMB (Server Message Block) supports file sharing and is blocked in the firewall by default. This is just an informational event.
I looked at your other thread regarding problems with Skype. From the description you posted it sounds like the program itself stopped working. Let's see where that troubleshooting goes but the description did not really sound like a firewall issue, at least not at this point.
