it probably removed some system file - so you need to get a XP cd, boot it up, and select repair
not sure if you have any recovery options when you boot the pc up - but you can also try pressing: r, F9, F11 and F12 randomly when you're booting the pc up - if you have the recovery option, you won't need a XP cd

where can i purchase or acquire an xp cd???
yes i pushed the f8 button more than once to review options, but nothing worked.
a message came up sayin "This application failed to start because user32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

no it won't - there are two options when you open it up, you can repair system files without loosing any other files etc - or you can format the whole HDD and get it to the same state as when you 1st booted it up
