Re: How do I disable the Norton Automatic Renewal service

Hello tasman

Welcome back to the Norton Community Forum

Please log into mynortonaccount.

You will see your product listed there.

Hit Profile

Hit Billing Information. If there is no billing information listed, they can't bill you, so won't renew it auto then.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

Re: How do I disable the Norton Automatic Renewal service

Hello tasman

If your credit card information is listed there, then delete that information. Did you just buy and install it today? If you just bought it, then wait a little while so that your purchase does go thru if you used your credit card for it.

Re: How do I disable the Norton Automatic Renewal service

Hello tasman

If your Norton product shows the correct number of days now with the renewal, that would mean that it went thru. I would say it is safe to delete that information now if it shows the correct number of days. If you decide you want to automatically renew next year, you can always put your credit card information in again.

Re: How do I disable the Norton Automatic Renewal service

Hello tasman

Please enjoy your NAV for another year and also remember when the new version of NAV 2011 comes out, you will be entitled to a free upgrade to it since you will have a valid subscription. Thanks for marking the thread as solved so that others will know it is solved and will be able to find the solution quickly.

Re: How do I disable the Norton Automatic Renewal service

Tasman,

After you do what you need to do .... I suggest you wait a couple of days and then contact Customer Support by chat and ask them to verify that you are no longer on Automatic Renewal ....

Better to do that now then get a surpise next year!

To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.

You can choose CHAT or Email; phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.

Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.

Hope tht helps.

Hugh
