How to whitelist a file

I have a patch for a game that works perfectly well and I know it's safe. However, Norton keeps deleting it. Whenever I try to take it out of the quarantine, it just gets automatically deleted right away. Any help?

Re: How to whitelist a file

Hi

   Welcome to the Norton Forum.

I have a patch for a game that works perfectly well and I know it's safe. = Is that game a purchased one or a Cracked version and the patch, is it from the Game Developers or is it patch that will patch the game to be a Full Version?

If it is Crack/Patch/Keygen it is obivious that Antivirus Products remove them considering as a Threat because of their Nature. Also we cannot guarantee that all the patches are harmless, because lots of Infections are passed on through Keygens and cracks only. You can avail the Option, Restore & Exclude in the Norton Product to restore that file and exclude it from further detections (at your Own risk). Otherwise go here for instructions to submit a file and also for creating an exclusion.
