Hi,

       I recently stumbled upon a 6 month trial of nav 2 days back and decided to install it. After the installation, the NAV auto-updated itself fully and my current version is : 19.1.1.3

I understand that a new version is available which is 19.7

However when i chose to update NAV just now, the download size is a whopping 226.3 MB.

Is this un-usual? If not, is there an option to select what i wish to update?

With the number of changes that must have taken place since NAV 2012 was issued in late 2011 I would not be surprised at the size of the download.

Luckily you cannot chose what to download!  NAV is the least configured of the 3 products.

Just go for it and then relax but remember that NAV does not have a firewall so if you are not behind a hardware firewall like a router your are more at risk than with say Norton Internet Security. See what others suggest if you don't have a firewall.

That surprises me ... and I've been around for a while.

I think the only option I do remember was the Spam function which was combined into the main product quite a few years ago.
