I can not get to my settings on NIS because it says I have incorrect pw

Do I have to have a SEPARATE PASSWORD than the one I now have with Norton when trying to view my SETTINGS on Norton Internet Security?

Hi Ip5119,

The use of a password to prevent access to Norton settings is optional.  If you are not being permitted into the settings, then you or someone else has set up a password.  If you are locked out you can reset the password fairly easily.  You will need to access the Norton uninstall option in Windows Control Panel, as if you were going to remove NIS, but rather than running the uninstaller, you will instead select the option to reset the settings password.  You will not uninstall Norton.  You will find complete step-by-step instructions here:

Resetting your Norton Internet Security Settings password

Once you have regained access, you can go to the Norton Product Security tab in the General Settings and turn off Settings Password Protection if you prefer not to use a password in the future.
