Re: I installed NIS2010

Let us know the version of Microsoft Office you have installed. If you have installed Office 2010, then there won't be any AntiSpam. AntiSpam in NIS 2010 is not yet compatible with Office 2010, only NIS 2011 Beta works with Office 2010. Once the NIS 2011 is released, you can upgrade to NIS 2011 and get the AntiSpam functionality.

If you are using Office 2007 or earlier, go to NIS Settings, and make sure that AntiSpam is showing as ON. Also, check the Client Integration, and make sure that Outlook is checked.

Re: I installed NIS2010

Hi indior,

What OS and SP do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit? Office 2003 is only compatible up to Windows Vista as per the Microsoft KB article below:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822129

As a normal rule it probably would have been better to install Office 2003 first and then NIS. I think the chances are better then that the integration of Outlook and NIS would occur without any problems.

Best wishes.

Allen

Re: I installed NIS2010

Just for info, I'm running Office 2003 Student edition on the 64 bit Win 7  Home, and it was on a 32 bit Win 7  Home

until recently.  There have been no issues or incompatibilities that I have noticed.  Since that Micrrosoft article was last updated in 2007, they just han't thought of Win 7 yet.  Microsoft has done a good job with comptibility on Win 7 compared to earlier O/S.

I  do  ask  about the span bar , do  I  need to  reinstall Office 2003 to  get it or there a switch  in nis2010?

HI indior,

Did you check the items in Yogesh's earlier post here? Specifically make sure that Antispam is ON and that Client Integration has Outlook checked. If Outlook is currently selected you might try unchecking it, save changes and add the checkmark back and see if makes a difference. Just to make sure you might want to reboot your computer after making changes to this. Both of these settings are in Network settings.

Also check that MS Office automatic scan is turned on in Computer Settings.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

there was a bar icons that  said  : thus is a trash post  or empty  the trash box .

I  think  after I installed Office  I  mistakenly  told it not to  set in and mark  the box don't show again

my question is ! Do  I  need to  reinstall Microsoft Outlook  again in order to  retrieve the bar or I  can retrieve it from the nis setting ??

Re: I installed NIS2010

Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the Norton product? This may sort out the problem. You need to download and run the Norton Removal tool to remove the Norton 2010 product.
