Is Identity Safe compatible with Google Chrome or Apple Safari browsers? I am having problems with Firefox 8 and would like to try another browser, but don't want to lose the Identity Safe features.

ID Safe is compatibile with Chrome (not sure about Safari) - if you are using NIS 2012.   You could also try using IE if you do not have NIS 2012.

As mentioned above by Yank, Chrome is supported from NIS 2012 Products.

Please mention the verison of Norton Product you had installed, you can check the version number under "Support" -> "About".

NIS do support Firefox 8.0, can you run liveupdate repeatedly until you get all the latest updates available and later open

Firefox 8.0 -> Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions and enable Norton Extensions and restart the firefox.
