Identity Safe settings and cookies

Good morning again,

This is my second problem..I just installed version 2012 and it is set-up quite different than 2011.  I am also using Windows 7 Home edition which I did not have until recently.

My problem is that when I am trying to use a job board site to edit my information (i.e.. Resume), every time I try to go to another page on the site, I get logged out and/or it tells me that I do not have access because I am not logged in correctly.   I tried adjust Internet Explorer settings the way I used to, to no avail.  So I broke my own policy and set it to accept all cookies (includes third party).  Same results.  Does anyone know what is up?

I used to be able to adjust all of these settings the way I wanted and now it seems that the programs are over riding me...very frustrating!  Please HELP!

Thank you!

Hi,

Before answers some questions. How did 2012 get installed - over 2011 or a clean install. Are you using the identity safe? Which version of IE are you using? Is the compatibility mode set correctly? Do you have any other security software installed?

Thanks

Re: Identity Safe settings and cookies

Hi mks,

If you are able to log into the site successfully, but cannot navigate to other pages, it does sound like a session cookie issue.  Did you close and restart IE after changing the settings?

Re: Identity Safe settings and cookies

Hi SendofJive,

I did log out and re-start.  I even cleaned out the cache and IE files, but I still had a problem.  It turned out to be the website was having problems.  Thank you for responding.  You all verified that I was doing all I could.  Sorry it took so long to respond.  I am just getting caught up on emails.

Thanks again!

Re: Identity Safe settings and cookies

Hello dickevans,

2012 was a clean install by myself and yes I am using Identity Safe.  No other security software is installed.  At the time this happened I was using IE 8...however, I am now using IE 9.

The problem has been solved as the it turned out to be the websites problem not my computer.

Thank you for responding and I apologize for the delay in replying.  You verified for me that I was doing everything right and I am getting used to Windows 7 now...its little quirks.

Thank you again!
