Maybe it's just a fluke, but one of my passwords in ID Safe mysteriously changed. I kept trying to log in to my mailbox, then went into "edit logins" and found that my PW had been changed to something like "12345xxx67890". I'm using the latest version of NIS on win7 64. Anybody seen this before? I changed the PW back to what it should be, and no one has been near my computer.
Thanks!

Welcome,
Interesting problem. Have you gone through your mail program configuration to be sure that there have been no changes there? I'm thinking maybe in the security question responses.
The bad guys/gals [I'm an equal opportunity offender] are always finding new ways to do nasty things. The web based email services are always being tested because there's so much information there.
I do not recommend keeping an address book online with any one of them. Too many bad things have already happend to nice people who have done this. My recommendation is to use an email client like thunderbird or one ofthe other free clients and keep your address book behind your Norton firewall.
Keep us in the loop. We'll be here when you need us.

My email PW never changed. The only thing that changed was the PW in ID safe. My email is from my ISP. It's POP3 when I use Windows Live, but the ISP has an html webmail page that I breeze by from time to time. It's just really strange that only the ID safe password got changed, and not the actual password to access the mail.

No clue then.
Do/did you use that password at anytime for any site? [grasping for straws]
Thanks

No, I would never use something as lame as 12345xxx67890.

I didn't think so but I did have to ask.
Just eliminates another possible way that the password could have been changed.
I'll keep thinking, hope one of the real expeerts stops in with help for both of us.![]()

Hi Drechsier,
Could you provide the exact URL in which you are facing the issue?
Thanks,
Senthil.
