Since upgrading to 2011 I notice that when I go to a websight that requires a log in,and is registered with Identity Safe the identity safe box is supposed to open to allow one to validate one's password and sign in. However about 50% of the time when I go to the site, the Identity Safe box simply will not appear. I have to go back and enter it all manually.
If I go to manage Log Ins I can see that the website is indeed listed with the correct log in information.
Any ideas as to why the Identity Safe box is not associating to the website? Never had this problem with NIS 2010

The display logic of the login alert in the browser is not site specific. I has to work the same way for all site which has login details on it.
If you have ignored this login alert window once, then the alert will not appear again for that windows user account login session. And once you logout and login back to the windows account it should start working. This design is implemented so as not to annoy the user again and again, if he ignores it once it means that the user is not willing to use it that time.
Ane the 'Prompt Me When I Am Not Logged In' option under Identity Safe settings will control the display of this login alert window. Please check if this option is turned ON.

I have the same problem except it never displays. The 2011 system works differently from 2010 and does give you the option of more selective "don't display" options. However, I never took those options. It just doesn't work. In fact, when I click on the Identity Safe browser button, it takes what seems to be a long time to get the login prompt. Then things work normally while I'm still logged in.

FYI, I posted my problem the other day; I don't think I've gotten any responses. I had similar problems with one machine when I upgraded from 2009 to 2010 (different computer than the one that now has these symptoms). The solution Norton's suggested was to completely uninstall and reinstall. I did that and it worked, but what a pain.

I received a tip on my thread of this issue and it worked for me. Basically it is to turn off the autoprompt, reboot the system and then turn it back on. Doing so fixed the problem for me. Here's the other thread.

I can confirm that since I followed these instructions, the box appears promptly and appropriately, This would appear to be the correct solution.

Well, turns out I was declaring success too soon. It worked a short while, but later no longer worked. Doing the same routine didn't change things. I decided to throw in the towel and just reinstall everything. I used the removal tool to clean everything up and then reinstalled both NIS 2011 and Nortons Utilities. Pop up seemed to work after that. Now I'm back to where I was with the autologin signin not working. If I click on the Identity Safe and I get the prompt and then the password fill-in and choices for multiple logins works normally. Once enough time passes for my Identity Safe login to expire, I have the same problem.
FYI, almost never reboot my system as I run backups and software autoupdates nightly. Just tossing that out in case it is a factor. However, I have a similar desktop setup at the office and am not experiencing these difficulties.

I agree that it now works inconsistently again.
Rather frustrating since I have logged most of my passwords and now have to go back and look them up
I wonder if Norton is aware of this problem.
I don't plan to reinstall the software, too time consuming and clearly it does not work.

Hoping someone comes up with a solution. I'm about to upgrade my third computer since 2010 is expiring soon. Since I'm 0 for 2 on getting Identity Safe to work properly, I've been holding off on this last upgrade. I do let my computers go into standby and don't turn them off. I've noticed when I reboot, it works for a while, or seems to. I'm wondering if the standby status is causing this somehow. Grabbing at straws here, but I don't know what else to try.
We can't be the only ones having this problem. Nortons? Where are you?
