I guess the real question is what is the question? An Idle Quick Scan is a High Priority scan that runs in the background during your Idle status. It does not stop when you leave Idle time as a Quick scan is only looking at what is loaded memory and the files associated with start up / running processes. It is scheduled to run at least once every three days even if you have no Idle time (since this is a High Priority scan) . It does not run every time you have Idle Time but a Full Definition Update will cause the Quick Scan to be triggered for the next Idle Time session. It does this to check that what is loaded in memory has been checked against the latest definitions as soon as possible.
