This forum is intended for matters relating to how the Forums themselves work so I've asked for your message to be moved to the NIS/NAV Forum for better coverage.
You'll get details there but don't use the KEY for the copy you bought yet. First Upgrade your 2010 for free and then a couple of days before your subscription expires insert the new KEY.
We can give you a link to download a more uptodate version of NIS 2011 than the one on the disk you bought since they are froxen in time.
Hang on for details.

The link for NIS2011 is here.
You are best to install it over the top if all is working well with 2010. If there are any problems, they should be dealt with first. Let us know. Make sure that you back up your identity safe logins and cards as an NPM file. The back up utility is in the settings in Norton.
As Huwyngr warned, safe the key until the last day, but don't wait til the last minute in case you have any issue. It may ask you if you want to save your settings, click yes. If you have any custom firewall rules, write them down, as they will be lost in the upgrade.
