Re: Interesting problem:)

Hello moriseif

I just checked my scan and I only show it once with a few users. There is really only 1 .exe file by that name, it is just being used by the system and the user. I'm still on xp pro and I don't know  if that makes any difference in the scan or not. Did you click on each file and check to see if the version number and date are the same for both?

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

Checked this out on my Windows 7 (64Bit) test laptop and found the following  ...morisief , you asked  "Why the user differences "??   As floplot said ...the file may only appear once on the XP system ...but as Windows has its' own ways of handling files across the various platforms ..it actually shows twice on W7 machines .

The probable main reason is that one file is four months older than the other , and therefore will have been evaluated for a longer period ....hence more users are being reported in the statistics !

On Windows 7 systems......one example shows up as located in "Norton Management > Engine > 1.1.1.3 filepath ...

If you click " Locate " .the other newer file appears in "Norton Internet Security > Engine > 19.5.0.145 folder ....

So morisief......you can see that the 19.5.0.145 is the same as the current NIS latest Version number , and this file is the most recent and was only identified four days ago.... therefore less users are in the stats ...Hope this helps ...........

Regards......Ed
