just a side note to others like me who are, lets say extra thinking when it comes to these things (ok paranoid is what I really mean)

Logic would say why would one get updates but then think do I have them all? That is just stupid thinking on my part.

That's a two-sided question because, on one side, you will never have all the Updates because there are un-Detected Threats / Attacks out there; on the other side, yes, you do have all of the Known Threats / Attacks.  That is why it is key to have at least an In-bound Firewall in your Anti-Virus Product.
