My daughter has an Iphone which has to be updated weekly. She uses her laptop to download the Iphone updates. Apparently the Norton Anitivirus that she downloaded two weeks ago will not allow the Iphone updates.
Is there something in the Norton program that has to be turned off to allow the Iphone updates to download? Or will she have to remove Norton, update the cell phone then reinstall Norton after the updates are complete?
Or will she need to purchase a different virus software?
Thanks for the help or suggestions.

What is actually happening to the updates? If it is Norton Antivirus, there is no firewall. Is it Insight or auto-protect which is causing the issue? Is anything in quarantine or is it deleted?

Hi JohnLa,
Have you tried Apple's iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant?:

Thanks. I will give it a try.
I did call Apple and the tech support rep did not know why the iphone would not uploard and suggested that I find the "exceptions" tab or box in Norton and close or close it down. Otherwise it appears that we will have to uninstall, update the cell then reinstall Norton.
She has used Norton for years. This issue did not start until she downloaded a new Norton two weeks ago.

Finally found the problem. Too much memory being used on the Iphone. Deleted some photos and music and it updated. Norton was not the problem. Thanks!
