Hello,
I just made an upgrade to Firefox 3.6.2. When the installation of FF 3.6.2 has finished it shows a message that Norton IPS 2.0 is not compatible and has been deactivated.
What can I do to reactivate Norton IPS 2.0?
I'm running Windows XP SP3 (up-to-date) with NIS 2010 (version 17.5.0.127).
Hope you can help me with this issue.
Thank you very much!
Edit: I forgot to mention: I already ran LiveUpdate several times and restarted my computer but nothing changed.

I upgraded from FF 3.5.8 to FF 3.6.2.
Don't know why the Norton IPS 2.0 doesn't work.
In the add-on panel in FF there's a green puzzle piece with a red button and a white exclamation mark besides Norton IPS 2.0 and all options like activate and so on a grayed out, so it's no possible to do anything like manually activating or something like that.
Hope there's someone who could help me to solve this issue.

I forgot to mention, too, that the only add-ons I have in Firefox are: Norton Toolbar and IPS and JAVA QuickStarter.

I also upgraded to Firefox 3.6.2 (from 3.5.8) early this morning with no issues with IPS.
NIS 2010 on a Windows 7 box.

User may have to refresh cache...just guessing?
User may have a problematic (conflicting) extension...just guessing?

Please try the following steps.
1. Exit Firefox
2. Navigate to the Firefox profile folder
%adddata%
3. Open extensions.cache with Notepad.
4. Remove the lines which contain:
winreg-app-global ....... C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Norton\..................
app-global ....... C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Norton\......
5. Save the file.
6. Restart Firefox.
