The issue previously reported by Morac seems to be back again: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Sec
If so, would you please identify and correct the bad or misconfigured network port at Norton/Symantec as soon an possible.
I'm using Norton Internet Security 2010 and the problem showed up this morning (Swedish time).

Hi Gostha,
Please post a screenshot of the One Click Support error. In meantime, try restarting the Symantec services:
1. Click the Start button, and then click All Programs > Accessories > Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type the following text:
services.msc
3. Click OK.
4. In the Services window, in the Name column, right-click the Norton Internet Security service, and then click Restart.
5. Restart the computer, and then check whether the problem persists.

The Norton Internet Security Services are set to be Automatically started and running. All five right-click options including Restart, Start ad Stop are greyed out and cannot be executed.
Now, on Tuesday evening, the One Click Support Server could finally be reached.
The reply is: "No problems with Internet Security". That's not true!
Still there is no tray icon and the Norton Gadget symbol is "rotating".
Live Update does not work, and clicking on the Norton Internet Security menu icon always brings me to One Click Support.
!!! Now the initial error is back again !!!
The reply is as follows (in Swedish):
Kontrollerar anslutningen ...

Det går inte att kommunicera med en av våra servrar. Vill du försöka att åtgärda det här problemet genom att frigöra dina IP-inställningar och förnya dem?
It is not an internet access issue.

This morning (Wednesday) I called Norton Support in Sweden. Removal and reinstallation solved the problem. There is an indication that some recent Windows Update file(s) is/are messing it up for NIS, since this is not the first issue of its kind in Sweden in 2010.
Thanks for trying to help me!

Thanks for the feedback -- can you give us any more information on the suspected troublemakers? At least from timing of your problem it's not one of the February Tuesday patches .....
