Itunes Store connection

Hello, I have recently bought a new computer and new Norton

I cannot access Itunes store, telling me:

"Make sure your connection is active"

I use T-Mobile usb stick and it worked on all previous computers - I believe it is just Norton and I wish I never got it now!!

I have tried to go on the firewall and allow and as far as I can see it allows it - I have added all the itunes icons I can see and I am becoming inpatient now! Any help? Step by Step even?

Thanks in advance

Hi Londonary,

Welcome to Norton Community!

Are you able to access the Itunes store when you disable/turn off the Smart Firewall from your Norton program? If you have not checked by disabling the firewall, check that first. This is to verify whether Norton is actually blocking your access or not.

Also, check the settings in Internet Explorer:

- Go to Tools > Internet Options.

- On the Connections tab, click LAN Settings.

- Make sure that "Use a proxy server..." is unchecked.

Let us know the results.

Re: Itunes Store connection

Since your are unable to connect to Itunes store even after disabling the firewall, I don't think that the problem is related to Norton product. In the LAN settings of IE, make sure that you check "Automatically detect settings...", restart the computer and then try to access the Itunes store again. If the problem persists, I would suggest you to contact Apple Support in this, and check it further with them.
