I am switching from F-Secure to Norton Antivirus 2012. F-Secure had a built in firewall with application blocking. Does Norton Antivirus have any sort of Firewall or Apllication blocking and if so, were is it ??? I need to block a program from accessing the web.
Thank you
John

If you are using Vista or Windows 7 the Windows firewall is excellent.

Thibor,
Two things --
1 -- When you installed your Norton AntiVIrus how did you remove F-Secure? When changing from one "brand" of security program to another it is usually not enough to just use WIndows Uninstall Programs since that can leave behind bits and pieces that can affect the replacement.
Here's a link to a listing for many products. I'm not allowed to post a link there to an exe file since it could be malware so go to the website and scroll down until you find F-Secure ....... Tool which is a link to download their tool. The Infor just says to use uninstall but it will be best to use a tool when they offer one.
2 -- Do get in touch with the very helpful Norton OnLine Support via the CHAT link which everyone finds is quick and effective. Norton has a 60 day warranty of satisfaction so you could ask for your money back and then, we hope, buy Norton Internet Security but the Support team may have a way of short-cutting that ..... if you don't ask you won't know! <g>
Please let us know how you get on and if you have any other questions.

I have a huge doubt that Norton Antivirus 2012 does not have the built- in firewall. I think the era of firewall, the symantec co. stops since Norton Antivirus 2009 production. But, I have seen a thing. When I turn on Windows Firewall, the instrusion attack notification stops at once, otherwise it continuously shows the messages. Can anybody help me by explaining this? Thank you.

Versions of Norton Antivirus prior to 2009 contained a feature called "Internet Worm Protection" which essentially acted like a firewall.

NAV does contain the Intrusion Prevention part. It lacks the other parts of the firewall, like the filtering and the program control, though.
