I think the last engine for 2009 was 16.8.0.41.  I can't do a screenshot as I don't have Norton on my work machine.

feel nostalgic for to interface and transparency effect of main window...

last time (sept-oct 2009) it was 16.7 and during a year it became only 16.8???

interesting... leaving effective support of old version (last)?

Once the new version year comes out, which happens in the fall usually, there are no more engine updates on the older product.  It will continue to get the definitions and other updates, but there is no point to update the antivirus engine.  The new product is then updated as required to the latest antivirus engine.

Realistically, we can't expect to have all the same components in an old product that is put into a new version.

What's how it is... Alright. And the last question to You - what date was when You are looked at NIS 2009 (16.8.0.41) engine version?

My employer still has 2009 NIS on his machine.  I have put off updating it so far because he has 3 different accounting programs on his machine and some accounting programs such as Quicken has had difficulties.  I have enough problems when he accidentally turns the desktop upside down without looking for trouble.

I think the last engine update for 2009 was sometime in September last year and the 2010 version was available as a download sometime in October of 2009.  The 2011 product is being thoroughly tested already.

Okay.  The present engine number is  still 16.8.0.41.  A search on Google Images will provide you with a number of screenshots of the product.
