For the past couple of days I have been receiving message "416296CE.TMP has no available reputation information". I checked NIS 2013 Security History and the entries for the message have a LOW severity, Activity of: Download Insight analyzed 416296CE.TMP, and a Status of access allowed. I cannot find this file on my PC, so I'm assuming something is trying to download it to my PC. Can anyone tell me why I'm getting this message? Is it something I should be concerned about? Thanks in advance for any help.

What have you tried to download recently? A tmp file can be created while a legitimate download is taking place. It is usually replaced/renamed when the download is complete.

It looks like this started on July 18, and that is the day I did a Adobe Photoshop Elements update. There was a problem contacting the update server, and I found a fix for that issue at the Adobe site. Once that was corrected the update and download installed with no noticeable problems. I don't recall doing any other downloads on that day or prior.
This afternoon I rebooted the PC and haven't seen it show up in Security History since the reboot. Maybe the reboot killed something that was out there since the failed Adobe Photoshop Elements update. If nothing shows up in the next day or two, I'll update this as solved.

Ah!!! The all powerful reboot. That simple procedure can cure all kinds of computer ills.Temp files are one thing that can get cleaned out with a restart.
Let us know after a couple of days if you feel this is solved.

As I mentioned on a previous post, this may be related to the use of CCleaner. There was a recent incompatibility problem with Norton and this program, but I understand this has now been resolved.
