Someone PLEASE help me!
I started school in August. At the beginning of the semester, I bought Norton Antivirus 2011 (along with an HP Laptop). Once I tried to install the Antivirus software that I bought, the program displayed a message letting me know that i already had an antivirus program (also norton) pre installed on my laptop and if i installed the new one that it would stop the subscription that was already on the laptop. SO, since the laptop came with a 60-day subscription, I decided to just wait 60 days and let the preinstalled subscription expire before adding the software that i bought seperately..... Well, between those 60 days, I somehow lost the PRODUCT KEY!!!! All I have is the box it came in, and the disc! What do I do?

Once you obtain your product key, if that is possible, do not try to over-install the program that the machine has on already. It should be removed via add/remove before installing the new one.
For the product key problem, please check in with Customer Service Chat to see if there is something they can do for you. Scroll down for Chat.

Hello Candase910 and welcome to the Community. The last time I purchased a boxed version of NIS2011, the product key was not on the box or the CD. The key was printed on a separate 4 1/2 inch X 7 inch piece of paper with the Norton Internet Security title on one side and the key code was on the other side. If you lost that piece of paper, you might try the On-line Customer Support service as delphinium mentioned.

You may be lucky still having that box if the code on the white label is enough to identify to Norton that it has not been used -- the OnLIne CHAT support are known to be very helpful and it may be they can issue you a new KEY if it has not been used.
When you first tried to install it, you did not use the KEY to try to activate did you? From what you said it sounds as if you did not get that far.
Make sure you find the route to CHAT and not to Nathan or back here .... !
