Hello: I searched the forum - and all of the Norton site but I find no information about this malware "Live Security Platinum". Another PC in the house is infected and My Norton Internet Security is disabled. I cannot seem to navigate to any page to get any tool to remove this malware. Can anyone help? Why did Norton Internet Security not protect me from this threat?

Welcome,
Sorry we have to meet under these circumstances. No single security product will protect you 100% of the time from all possible threats. Security is always one step behind the problem. You might try Malwarebytes free scanner to clear this problem. It's Norton compatible so keep it on the desktoop and use it as a second opinion when you feel the need.

So... an update... I opened a chat session with a Norton tech and was advised to download and run the Norton Power Eraser (http://liveupdate.symantec.com/upgrade/NPE/1033/NP
Thanks!

Live Security Platinum can be part of a bundle to create a multi infection.

yes -- after reinstalling Norton Internet Security -- 5 more torjan viruses were found... Not sure how we got infected and surprised Norton failed to pick it up -- although, Mom and kids might have ignore warnings -- I can say this without worry becasue she would never look at a Norton message board!
